Arizona Cardinals Safety Budda Baker Requests Trade

After a disappointing 2022 season, where they finished 4-13, the Arizona Cardinals are in more trouble as there are reports that their 5-time Pro Bowl safety is looking elsewhere.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Cardinals safety Budda Baker has asked for a trade.

Baker, who still has two years and over $27 million remaining on his contract, has played his entire career with the Cardinals since being drafted in the second round of the 2017 draft.

Baker is coming off the 2022 season with a total of 111 tackles, 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble. He ended up missing the last 2 games of the season by being placed on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder fracture in the Cardinals 19-16 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
